David Martinez David Martinez is originally from El Salvador. He graduated with a degree in agronomy in 1981 and worked in the field of public health. He was involved with both large animals and agriculture. He moved to the U. S. in 1989 and began working here as a veterinary technician. David enjoys working with animals and has a special interest in radiology. David has a three year old American Bull Dog named Spot.
Janiece Durnbaugh Janiece Durnbaugh started her career as a veterinary technician in 1973. She participated in the veterinary technician program at Pierce College. She worked at MS Animal Hospital (now VCA-Burbank) for 28 years. She retired in 2000 to spend more time with her family. She came out of retirement in June 2004 to work for Media City Animal Hospital part-time, and we are grateful to have her! Janiece has eight tortoises, one Chihuahua, four cats, and a koi pond.
Fernando Segovia - Veterinary Assistant Fernando was born in Burbank, and currently lives in North Hollywood. He has a unique musical talent and he plans to produce music in the future. He has worked as a vet assistant at Media City Animal Hospital since 2005, and he enjoys the close-knit staff and the wonderful and talented doctors here.
Kristy Caldwell - Veterinary Technician Kristy has been working at Media City Animal Hospital since 2006, where she feels the friendly staff make a relaxing work environment. Kristy is earning her certification in Veterinary Technology at Pierce College, and will be registered by Spring of 2009. She has two dogs, Sammy and Bob, and two cats, Aiden and Kya.
Jazmin Penne- Receptionist/ Veterinary Assistant Jazmin grew up in North Hollywood. She has worked at Media City Animal Hospital since January of 2008. She is currently a student at Pierce College, where she is studying Veterinary Technolog. Jazmin likes coming to work at Media City Animal Hospital, where she learns new things every day.
Susanna Galindo - Receptionist Susanna is originally from Mexico. She began working here in 2001 under Dr. Velasco. She will be a licensed real estate agent after she takes the qualifying exam in the near future. Susanna is very proud of her daughter, Giselle, who has recently started kindergarten. Susanna has a pet Chihuahua, Chispita (Sparky) who comes with her to work.
Katie Schneider - Hospital Manager Katie is originally from Northern California. She earned her BFA in Literature from California State University Chico in 2007, and is currently working towards her Master’s in Business Administration at CSU Northridge. Katie has worked in the Veterinary field for 6 years, and she continues to enjoy the fun staff and friendly clients. Katie has a cat named Officer Sniffy.
Juan Solis - Veterinary Assistant Juan has been working at Media City Animal Hospital since 2002, when Dr. Velasco owned the practice. Juan is very skilled in handling our feline patients, and he is often asked to help the doctors with especially scared or painful cats. Juan lives in North Hollywood with his dog Baba.
Nancy Terrazas Veterinary Assistant/ Receptionist Nancy has been working at Media City Animal Hospital since February, 2008. She is currently studying Veterinary Medicine at Pierce College, and she plans to become a Veterinarian in the future. Nancy has a beagle named Benji and a cat named Batman. She lives in Burbank.
Christen Ortiz - Receptionist Christen has worked at Media City Animal Hospital Since 2006. She enjoys the social aspect of her job and meeting all the pets.  Christen lives in Santa Clarita with her two dogs, Sally and Lucy, and her cat, Metro. She loves traveling to Hawaii, and coaching gymnastics.
