David Martinez David Martinez is originally from El Salvador. He graduated with a degree in agronomy in 1981 and worked in the field of public health. He was involved with both large animals and agriculture. He moved to the U. S. in 1989 and began working here as a veterinary technician. David enjoys working with animals and has a special interest in radiology. David has a three year old American Bull Dog named Spot.
Janiece Durnbaugh Janiece Durnbaugh started her career as a veterinary technician in 1973. She participated in the veterinary technician program at Pierce College. She worked at MS Animal Hospital (now VCA-Burbank) for 28 years. She retired in 2000 to spend more time with her family. She came out of retirement in June 2004 to work for Media City Animal Hospital part-time, and we are grateful to have her! Janiece has eight tortoises, one Chihuahua, four cats, and a koi pond.
Fernando Segovia - Veterinary Assistant Fernando was born in Burbank, and currently lives in North Hollywood. He has a unique musical talent and he plans to produce music in the future. He has worked as a vet assistant at Media City Animal Hospital since 2005, and he enjoys the close-knit staff and the wonderful and talented doctors here.
Kristy Caldwell - Veterinary Technician Kristy has worked at Media City since 2005. She is a registered veterinary technician, and is currently studying to become a veterinarian. Every year Kristy volunteers a week of her summer at Camp Kindle- a camp for children infected or affected by AIDS. Kristy has a dog named Bodacious Bob, and two cats: Kya and Aiden
Jazmin Penne- Receptionist/ Veterinary Assistant Jazmin grew up in North Hollywood. She has worked at Media City Animal Hospital since January of 2008. She is currently a student at Pierce College, where she is studying Veterinary Technology. Jazmin likes coming to work at Media City Animal Hospital, where she learns new things every day.
Katie Schneider - Hospital Manager Katie has worked at Media City Animal Hospital since 2008. She has been working in the field since 2004. Katie has a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Cal State Chico, and Graduate Certification in Business Administration from Cal State Northridge. She is currently studying for her Master’s degree in Business Management at the University of Redlands. She has two cats: Officer Sniffy and Douglas.
Juan Solis - Veterinary Assistant Juan has been working at Media City Animal Hospital since 2002, when Dr. Velasco owned the practice. Juan is very skilled in handling our feline patients, and he is often asked to help the doctors with especially scared or painful cats. Juan lives in North Hollywood with his dog Baba.
Nancy Terrazas - Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Nancy has worked at Media City Animal Hospital since 2008. She has an Associate’s Degree from Arizona State University, and is currently enrolled in the nursing program at West Coast University. She has a dog named Benji and a cat named Beetlejuice.
Breanna Hinkle - Receptionist Breanna has worked in veterinary hospitals since 2006, and she has been with Media City since 2009. Breanna is currently a student at the National Holistic Institute studying massage therapy. She has a lab named Remi and a cat named Lotus.
Melissa Martinez - Receptionist Melissa grew up in Burbank. She has worked for Media City Animal Hospital since 2010. Melissa loves to travel, and she visits Mexico several times each year. She has two cats: Natalie and Chiizkaek.
